HOLISTIC MASSAGE & Body work
FOR WOMEN
“‘‘ My treatment with Christine really was an experience that went much deeper than my muscles ’’”
What is Holistic Massage & Bodywork?
Coming home to your body, one breath at a time.
Holistic massage and bodywork is the way I support women on their healing journey—through the body.
The word holistic means we look at the whole person: mind, body, emotions, and energy. This work creates a space where the body can begin to feel safe enough to release what it’s been holding—physically, emotionally, and energetically.
As women, we often carry tension in our physical bodies—but the root of that tension is frequently held deeper, within our emotional and energetic bodies. These treatments are intentionally designed to support women in softening and opening to those deeper layers.
So, how does it work?
Each session draws on a range of intentional, body-based techniques to invite the body into softness and response, eventually- release.
This is a somatic approach—meaning we work with the body to listen, respond, and release, means we go with the feedback from the body, not pushing against it.
I use gentle massage for nervous system support, applying light to firm pressure at specific points to help release energetic tension. In some areas, I may simply place my hands and hold whilst I ask you to breathe and feel into what may be arising; in others, I might use gentle rocking or rhythmic movements—all with the intention of moving what may want to be felt and shifted.
My Approach
My approach is loving, non-judgemental, slow, and intuitive.
I meet you exactly where you are, gently responding to your individual needs in each moment. My intention is always to create a supportive, grounded container where your full human experience can feel seen, held, and honoured.
Working Over Time
When we work together across multiple treatments, my hope is that the body begins to shift into a space where it feels safe to be felt and seen. This is where the tension can really begin to be relieved, not just momentarily eased.
As the body starts to feel safe again, we may explore somatic practices that help release held emotions. This can include:
Somatic movements, clenching/releasing, or simple body-based practices
Body-mind dialogue: naming and expressing the emotions as they live in the body
